Swedish Massage

$60 per 60 minutes

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Pregnancy Massage

$60 per 60 minutes

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Chair Massage

$60 per 60 minutes

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Deep Tissue Massage

$60 per 60 minutes

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Hot Stone Therapy

$70 per 60 minutes, $105 per 90 minutes

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.  It is best to experience 90 minutes to feel totally relaxed and unrushed!

Movement Education

$60 per 60 minutes

Movement education uses a custom-tailored approach to improving your body awareness and movement skills. Combining problem-solving, guided-discovery, and exploratory methods, this practice inevitably leads to a stronger connection between the mind and body, creating a more natural and graceful experience of movement and interaction with other people.

Sports Massage

$60 per 60 minutes

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Structural Integration

$90 per 90 minutes

Structural integration employs soft tissue manipulation with the goal of realigning the body in relationship to the force of gravity. The theory underlying structural integration asserts that often the body's connective tissue is "bound up," thus restricting opposing muscles from working independently of one another. Thus, we aim to loosen the restricted connective tissue by using a practice very similar to deep tissue massage. Practitioners typically prescribe a specific sequence of ten sessions lasting between 75 and 90 minutes in order to "unlock" the whole body.

Infant Massage

$60 per 60 minutes

Infant Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically to promote the healthy development of your infant. Caring human touch is crucial for a healthy thriving baby, and the benefits of massaging your infant are potent and numerous. For example, many infants show improved growth and development of the brain and nervous system. Infant massage has also been shown to improve the quality of a baby's sleep, as well as strengthening their immune system.  This is instruction for the parents or primary care givers.

RNR

$60 per 60 minutes

Definition of RNR™

RNR™ Reprogramming Neuromuscular Responses (RNR) is a neuromuscular massage technique that supports the relationship between the nerves and the muscles through the golgi tendon organs. Golgi tendon organs are nerve endings located in soft tissue fibers throughout the body. When a person experiences pain, the pain signal may cause splinting, which is contraction of one group of muscles around another to immobilize them. Splinting is a wonderful mechanism; however when this signal does not "turn off," the healing process may be hindered. RNR™ helps the body remember to "turn off" this signal, so healing may be facilitated at a faster rate.

RNR™ Is Great For

Arthritis • Asthma • Athletes • Pre & post athletic events • Children • Infants • Nerve damage• Persons recovering from: injury and/or surgery • Persons "wanting to understand healthy touch" • Persons in wheelchairs • Scoliosis • Senior citizens • Stress management • TMJD

The mission of RNR™ is to bring about a sense of balance and well being to both the client and the therapist during and after every session.

More about RNR™

RNR™ works on the golgi tendon organs, the nerve endings in muscle fibers.
RNR™ is a unique technique and is very effective in reducing the "pain cycle" to encourage healing.

RNR™ is designed for a "full body session", or as a "pain spot reducer", or to enhance other techniques.

RNR™ may be applied in a lying, standing or sitting position and is especially effective for those in extreme pain.

RNR™ requires no oil and may be done through clothes.

Medical Therapeutic Massage

$120 per 60 minutes

Medical massage is result orientated and the treatment is specifically directed to resolve or provide relief for conditions diagnosed and prescribed by a physician, chiropractor, nurse practitioner, or midwife.  The therapist may use a variety of techniques or procedures during the treatment, but will focus only on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis and prescription.  Medical massage is typically billed in 15-minute segments using current procedural terminology and adhering to the usual and customary reimbursement fee schedule.

I will file insurance claims for all patients.  Each individual deductable and co-pay will apply.

Why is a prescription required for medical massage?

Most insurance companies require it for reimbursement.  In order for a massage therapist to state that they are treating a patient, they must legally determine what it is they are actually treating.

Since it is beyond massage therapists' scope of practice to diagnose, they must work from a prescription (doctor, chiropractor, nurse practitioner, midwife) if they are claiming to treat a specific condition.  I  am very much an advocate for cooperating with other health care practitioners for the well-being of the patient.  I have worked together well with chiropractors, nurse practitioners, neurologists, general practitioners, orthopedists, podiatrists, pediatricians, gynecologists, obstetricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, osteopaths, pain management physicians, and physical therapists.
